Kitty Pryde – “Ay Shawty: The Shrekoning”

For some reason, I can’t stop listening to the instrumental in this song. Props to Sela, the track’s producer, for making it. It’s probably the chilled out tone or the fact that there are violins being used in a hip-hop song. Never mind the lyrics, which focus on topics reserved for romantic high school kids.

I wish an instrumental version was out there on the internet.

Molyjam 2012: The San Francisco Game Presentations

So there was this thing called Molyjam (a.k.a. “What Would Molydeux?”), a global game jam* event where designers create games based on very imaginative tweets from a Twitter account @petermolydeux.**  The game jam, which was conceived from a tweet by Double Fine’s Anna Kipnis, was two days long; from those two days, over 200 games were made.*** The following video is the recorded live stream of the San Francisco presentation. The actual event starts at 40 minutes in. (As soon as higher quality video is available, that will replace the Twitch.tv video. As for the other Molyjam presentations, they will go up on I So Bored as well. Just not now, because there are a ton of them.)

*A “game jam” is an occasion where game designers get together to hastily make a prototype game and share it with other game designers.
**@petermolydeux is a parody of well-respected game designer Peter Molyneux; its game idea tweets feel like they *could have* been conceived by the man himself.
***All the Molyjam games can be found here — there may be more from other teams from other Molyjam locations.
